Grant is a painter whose work blends techniques with a focus on atmosphere and texture. He apprenticed for Daud Akhriev  in the Russian Tradition and spent time studying in Florence, Italy, but his current practice leans toward a freer, experimental approach. From traveling different worlds, Grant draws inspiration from fog, features, changing light, and natural landscapes, exploring materials like oil, gold leaf, and charcoal to capture fleeting moments.

His work is informed by personal experiences with recovery and an ongoing awareness of mortality, which he approaches as a quiet reverence for life. Grant values the sensitivity and craft of traditional painting while also experimenting with design-driven, sculptural forms.
